§ 22-503. Secretary.
The director of the county permitting and enforcement department, his authorized designee or an individual designated by the county manager shall serve as the secretary to the board and shall perform the following duties:
(1)
Attend all meetings of the board.
(2)
Receive and process all applications for certificates of competency and keep a permanent record of all persons and firms applying for or issued a certificate of competency.
(3)
Prepare the agenda and send out notices to all members of the board of each general and special meeting.
(4)
Keep, prepare and serve as custodian of the minutes and records of the board.
(5)
Collect and account for all fees established by the commission for the application, processing or issuance of any examination or certificate of competency.
(6)
Advise and assist the commission and the county manager in the enforcement, interpretation, amendment and implementation of this article and any other building code, fire code, ordinance, law, rule, regulation, policy or procedure established by the commission relating to the construction industry.
(7)
The secretary may, upon direction of the board, or upon his own motion, or upon the sworn complaint, in writing, of any person, investigate or cause to be investigated by a code enforcement inspector or officer for possible violations of the provisions of this article by any person or firm licensed under this article. The secretary shall submit a written report to the board of all investigations made.
