§ 30-16. FCC decisions/preemptions.

(a)

The franchisee shall, except for existing licenses, within 60 days after the issuance of a license under this chapter, apply to the FCC for a registration statement or such other certificate or license as may be required. Failure of the franchisee to obtain the necessary permits and licenses within one year of the issuance of a franchise under this chapter shall cause the franchise to become null and void, unless the franchisee petitions the board for an extension of time upon good cause shown.

(b)

Any section or provision of this chapter or license or permit issued therefrom and any local regulations or conditions in conflict with rules and regulations promulgated by the FCC are hereby preempted and such FCC modifications shall be deemed incorporated in this chapter.
