§ 50-46. Fire apparatus access.
(a)
An adequate water supply designed for control of maximum fire load anticipated for the building shall be installed and in operation prior to occupancy of the building. Water delivery volume rates shall be determined by the standards recommended in NFPA No. 1231 as adopted by the county. The fire official shall require the installation of gravity or pressure storage tanks if determined necessary to provide an adequate water supply.
(b)
All water systems requiring the utilization of fire pumps shall be equipped with an automatic emergency generator. The generator shall be installed and maintained as prescribed in NFPA No. 70 as adopted by the county.
