§ 66-36. Loitering on adjacent property.

  • (a)

    No person shall willfully loiter, mill, stand or sit within 50 feet of the fenced-in compound of the county detention facility located at 860 Camp Road, Sharpes, Florida, or at the location of its successor or successors in function, except for authorized visitation at the detention facility. Authorized visitation means those persons authorized to be present at the county detention facility by the administrator of the detention facility or the administrator's designee to visit inmates jailed at the detention facility.

    (b)

    No person shall willfully stop or park any vehicle or loiter, mill, stand or sit in any access road immediately adjacent to the county detention facility without authorization by the administrator of the detention facility or the administrator's designee.

    (c)

    Any person in violation of subsection (a) or (b) of this section shall immediately depart from the premises of the area when warned to so depart by the sheriff of the county, his deputies, any certified law enforcement officer or corrections officer.

    (d)

    Any person who willfully fails or refuses to depart the premises of the area after receiving warning as specified in subsection (c) of this section shall be punished as provided in section 1-7.
