§ 70-7. Selection of library media.
Selection of library media and the display of solicited and unsolicited materials shall be governed by the American Library Association (ALA) Bill of Rights adopted June 18, 1948, as amended from time to time. In addition thereto, the individual responsible for selection of library media shall consider criteria including, but not limited to, contemporary significance or permanent value, accuracy, authority of author, relation of work to existing selection, price, format and ease of use, scarcity of information in subject area, availability of material in other libraries, popular demand and duplication of materials.
