§ 86-2. Diving or jumping from the construction limits of any bridge prohibited.

  • (a)

    It shall be unlawful for any person to dive or jump from the construction limits of any bridge in the county. For purposes of this section, the term "construction limits" of any bridge shall mean any of the following:

    (1)

    The part of the fixed span or structure of the bridge supported by pilings or other structural support, or the bridge span which traverses any waterway without underlying structural support;

    (2)

    The structural support beneath the fixed span or beneath any part of the traffic right-of-way of the bridge;

    (3)

    Any channel marker, dock, groin, walkway, or other structure attached to or constructed on or beneath the bridge supporting structure, pilings, span, or traffic right-of-way.

    (b)

    Any person violating the provisions of this section shall be punished as provided in section 1-7.
