§ 202-86. Violations deemed noncriminal infractions; penalties.
(a)
A person cited for a violation pursuant to this division is deemed to be charged with a noncriminal infraction and cited to appear in court, unless the citation is dismissed pursuant to the provisions of section 202-84 or section 202-85.
(b)
A person cited for a violation pursuant to this article may post a bond equal in amount to the applicable civil penalty established pursuant to section 202-87 or sign and accept a citation indicating a promise to appear. If he refuses to post a bond or accept and sign the citation and does not submit a written request to the Brevard County code enforcement manager for an appearance before the Brevard County code enforcement board pursuant to the provisions of section 202-84 or section 202-85, he is in violation of this article and shall be punished in accordance with F.S. § 125.69.
(c)
If a person cited for a violation pursuant to this article either pays the applicable civil penalty established pursuant to section 202-87 before the date he is to appear in court or forfeits the bond he has posted by not appearing at the designated time and location, he is deemed to have admitted the commission of the infraction.
