§ 202-113. Authority to issue reward for information leading to arrest of persons damaging property in parks.

  • (a)

    The board of county commissioners of Brevard County is hereby authorized and empowered to offer and pay rewards for information leading to the arrest and conviction of any person damaging, injuring, destroying, defacing, marring or mutilating any public building or any benches, tables and other equipment, or the trees, plants, shrubbery or grounds of any public park or playground.

    (b)

    The board of county commissioners is hereby authorized to appropriate and expend moneys out of the general fund of the county for the purposes provided in this section, and the appropriation and expenditure of said moneys for said purposes are hereby declared to be for lawful county purposes; provided, however, that said amount of the reward payable hereunder shall not exceed $100.00 for any one depredation.
