§ 218-33. Questionnaires.
In compiling a list of jurors, the jury commissioners, in their discretion, may require any or all of the persons on the list to fill out a questionnaire giving information as to age, occupation, education, period of residence, interest in pending litigation, physical disabilities and any other matters touching upon their qualifications for jury service, and dates of any prior jury service, and may require each person on the list to appear individually before the commissioners for further questioning to test intelligence, mental alertness, hearing, eyesight, ability to understand English, and other qualifications for jury service. For such appearance before the jury commissioners, the person shall be paid the per diem and mileage allowed by law for jury service.
