§ 222-41. Jurisdiction; authority to adopt rules and regulations.

The board of county commissioners of Brevard County shall have the jurisdiction to
control and prevent the pollution of air and the pollution of streams, lakes, rivers,
ponds, inland waters, saltwaters, watercourses and other surface and underground waters
located within Brevard County. The board of county commissioners of Brevard County
shall have the authority to and shall enforce the provisions of this division and
shall have the power to adopt, prescribe and promulgate rules, regulations and standards
consistent with the known, available and reasonable methods of preventing pollution,
and consistent with the public welfare as it deems necessary to carry out the purposes
of this division.
