§ 222-49. Permit for discharge of wastes from commercial or industrial operation required.

  • Any person who conducts a commercial or industrial operation of any type which results in the disposal of solid or liquid waste material into the waters of the county shall procure a permit from the board of county commissioners before disposing of such waste material; and any person who is, after the effective date of this division, disposing of waste material from a commercial or industrial operation into county waters shall, within one year after the effective date of this division, secure such permit or cease disposing of such waste material. Except in case of an emergency affecting the public health, in case of a request for hearing or the taking of an appeal as provided herein, such cessation shall be stayed pending such hearing or final determination by a court.
