§ 230-26. Board of trustees; members; terms; rules and regulations; establishment of libraries.
(a)
There is hereby created a board of trustees to be known as "Board of Trustees, Brevard County Law Library," which board shall consist of five members. The membership of the board shall consist, ex officio, of a circuit judge assigned to the county, the county judge of the county, and three practicing attorneys of the county to be appointed by the president of the Brevard County Bar Association. At the time this article takes effect, as herein provided, one practicing attorney shall be appointed for a term ending January 1, 1962, another practicing attorney shall be appointed for a term ending January 1, 1963, and the other practicing attorney shall be appointed for a term ending January 1, 1964, and on January 1, 1962, and annually thereafter one practicing attorney shall be appointed for a term of two years; provided, however, no term of a present member of the board shall be affected hereby.
(b)
The board of trustees shall have full power and authority to operate and maintain a law library in the main courthouse and branch courthouses, or such place or places as may from time to time be designated by the board of trustees and to prescribe and enforce rules and regulations as to the use, maintenance and operation of the law library. The board of trustees shall purchase books, furniture, library and courtroom equipment and supplies either for cash or upon retain title or other contracts which shall be payable solely out of said law library fund and not otherwise.
