Latest version.
  • The provisions of any special act or municipal charter which relate to procedures for adjusting the municipal boundaries of any municipality in Brevard County, and which are in effect on the effective date of this section are hereby repealed. Any adjustment of the municipal boundaries of any municipality in Brevard County shall conform to the procedures established by general law, provided, however, that any territory located across the bodies of water known as the Indian River and the Banana River from a Brevard County municipality shall not be considered contiguous with the municipality proposing to annex, even if connected by bridges, causeways, easements or right-of-way. This will in no way affect the present boundary of any existing municipality.
