§ 254-31. Borrowing limited; payment of promissory notes; loan of county machinery authorized.

  • The board is hereby authorized and empowered, in order to provide for the work prescribed by this article and to carry out the purposes of this article, to borrow money temporarily from time to time for periods of time not exceeding two years at any one time and to issue its promissory notes therefor upon such terms and upon such rates of interest not exceeding eight percent per annum that the board may deem advisable. Any note so made and issued shall be paid out of any revenues or funds of the board, and the notes shall be a charge upon all revenues and property of the board. The board is hereby authorized and empowered to borrow any machinery belonging to Brevard County, and the board of county commissioners of Brevard County is hereby authorized to loan the district any machinery that the board deems advisable to be used in the construction and maintenance of the district property.
