§ 254-37. Abatement of marshes, ponds, etc.

  • The control and elimination of all species of mosquitoes in the Brevard mosquito control district is hereby found and declared to be for public purposes and thereby necessary for the maintenance of the health, welfare and prosperity of the inhabitants of the territory embraced in the district and for the convenience, comfort and welfare of the district and the inhabitants thereof. All depressions, lagoons, marshes, ponds or lakes wherein mosquitoes incubate or hatch are hereby declared to be public nuisances, as harmful or inimical to the comfort, health, welfare and prosperity of the inhabitants of the district, and may be abated as provided.
