§ 254-101. Organization of board; compensation of members of board.

Immediately after their appointment, the board members shall meet at some convenient place; elect one of their number to serve as president of the board together with any other officers the board may choose to elect; and elect as secretary some suitable person, who may or may not be a member of the board, and who may be required to execute bond for the faithful performance of his or her duties, as the board members may require. Such board shall adopt a seal with a suitable device. The members of the board shall be reimbursed for their traveling expenses pursuant to F.S. § 112.061, but shall receive no compensation for their service.
