§ 62-2259. Vibration.

  • (a)

    Vibration shall mean a periodic motion of the particles of an elastic body or medium in alternatively opposite directions from the position of equilibrium when that equilibrium has been disturbed; the action of vibrating; the state of being vibrated.

    (b)

    Vibrations of an elastic medium which are audible, visible or sensible to a normal person of normal sensibilities shall not be permitted or discernible at or beyond the property line of the parcel or lot from which the vibration is emanating. Examples of vibration sources would include: drop forges, vibrating heavy machinery and high power/low frequency sound sources which result in ground vibration.
