§ 2-133. Group health, accident and hospitalization coverage funds.
(a)
Funds allocated to any self-insurance or modified self-insurance program for group health, accident and hospitalization coverage shall only be used for establishing and maintaining reserve funds, investing the moneys deposited in such funds, payment of claims and administration and servicing of the program.
(b)
Upon termination of a self-insurance or modified self-insurance program, excess funds shall either be retained in a special account until a new program is adopted, or returned to the general fund of the county.
(c)
All county constitutional officers and special taxing districts may participate in any county self-insurance or modified self-insurance program for group health, accident and hospitalization coverage, upon approval by the board of county commissioners.
