§ 50-38. Purpose and intent.

  • The purpose and intent of this article is to establish proper safeguards against loss of life and property by fire; to prescribe regulations for the reasonable protection of life and property from the hazards of fire and explosives; to minimize hazards to life and property due to fire and panic; and to establish minimum requirements that will provide a reasonable degree of safety from fire and similar emergencies in buildings and structures.
