§ 82-10. Transfers and demotions.

(a)

Transfer of an employee from a position in one department, agency or governmental unit in the county service to a position in an equal class in another department, agency or governmental unit in the county service may be made at any time by the appointing authorities concerned.

(b)

A career service employee may be involuntarily demoted for a good cause. Any employee in the career service who is demoted shall have the right to file a grievance with his/her administrative officer IV/V. If the grievance is not settled at this level, the employee may appeal the grievance, in writing, to the grievance committee.
