§ 254-36. Rules and regulations for mosquito control; penalty for violations.

  • The board of county commissioners as the governing body of the Brevard mosquito control district, created under chapter 18437, Special Acts of 1937 [compiled in this article] is hereby authorized and empowered to adopt and promulgate rules and regulations not inconsistent with the provisions of chapter 18437 for mosquito prevention and control within Brevard County. Any rule or regulation providing for penalty upon violation shall be published one time in a newspaper of general circulation in the county, and a certified copy of such rules and regulations shall be filed in the county judge's office of Brevard County. A certified copy of a rule or regulation certified to by the clerk of the county commissioners of Brevard County shall be received as evidence in all courts of this state without further authentication. Violation of any rules and regulations adopted pursuant hereto shall constitute a misdemeanor, punishable upon conviction as provided by general law for punishment of misdemeanors.
